Os garis da Comlurb também estão nos piores momentos, ajudando e amenizando o sofrimento da população afetada pelas fortes chuvas. Eles atuam nas emergências nas ruas, como desobstrução de caixas de ralo, bolsões d’água, limpeza e raspagem de lama, remoção de galhos e queda de árvores, além dos locais que registram deslizamentos de terra. No temporal que caiu em 2022 na cidade de Petrópolis, na Região Serrana do Rio, uma equipe da Comlurb ajudou a empresa da daquele município na limpeza, remoção de entulho e desobstrução dos logradouros públicos.
